Years ago, I read Foer's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and found it touching. I'm not yet sure what to make of this novel, plus it doesn't help that I'm more taken by Nicole Krauss' (his wife) novel The History of Love. If you haven't read it, please do so. You can thank me later. (; Why I felt the need to compare the two, I do not know. Actually, my last comment is disingenuous. Women writers are always overlooked, but that's another theme for another day.

Years ago, I read Foer's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and found it touching.
