Currently reading / currently loving
"Why do physicians who've taken the Hippocratic oath willingly cut into seemingly healthy patients?" Sandra Gilman's "Creating Beauty to Cure the Soul: Race and Psychology in the Shaping of Aesthetic Surgery" attempts to answer that very question by analyzing the development of cosmetic surgery and the field of psychiatry. Utterly engrossing.
I began reading Laberge's "Quelques Adieux" last May and for some inexplicable reading abandoned it, quel malheur.
